We are looking for Specialist in General Radiology - Hospital in West-Sweden

Hospital in the western part in Sweden.

Your duties

As a radiologist, you work broadly within general radiology, with image review and examinations in conventional X-ray, computed tomography and ultrasound. The tasks vary and also include rounds, multidisciplinary conferences (MDK), further education and supervision of ST doctors and visiting colleagues. On-call duty in the evenings and weekends is included in the position. In the region, there are three on-call lines for radiologists: primary on-call, back-up on-call and remote on-call, which enables a flexible and sustainable on-call organization. At night, external review takes place via Teleconsult, both weekdays and weekends.

Your main location is in the hospital of a small town, but work at other hospitals in the county is possible by agreement. The possibility of remote work is available to the extent that the business allows. We work in Sectra RIS/PACS and have county-wide work lists, which creates close collegial and flexible cooperation between radiologists throughout the region.

Your skills and competences

Experience with conventional X-ray, CT and ultrasound as well as basic competence in ultrasound intervention. Experience with magnetic resonance imaging is an asset. We place great importance on personal qualities such as teamwork, commitment and a positive and solution-oriented attitude. You have the ability to make decisions and know how to structure your work tasks independently. In addition, you are well updated in your field and can contribute your expertise to colleagues.

Salary for staff with Swedish legitimation

Our Region applies individual salary setting, Starting salary for newly graduated specialists here is 74.200 SEK right after specialist training without any experience as a specialist. It is a bit more than 6.900 EUR.

The average salary for a radiologist in Sweden is between 86-94.000 SEK (around 8.000-8.800 EUR). It can be still even 100-110.000 SEK (9.300-10.300 EUR) for a consultant.

Services offered by the employer

• During the personal visit which is part of the interview process, the cost of travel, accommodation and meals are financed 

• 6-7 months long, free intensive Swedish course up to C1 level or 4-5 months intensive course up to B2 plus additional 2-3 months besides half-time work up to C1, financial support during the course (the amount is topic of negotiation)

• Free language education for family members – up to B2 level for spouses and school-age children

• Help with the application for Swedish license to practice, supervision of the process

• free Swedish legal and social training which consists of 40 lessons

• Integration assistance (assistance in registering at tax authority, opening bank account, etc.)

• Assistance in job-searching for the spouse

• Assistance in finding school/kindergarten for the children

• Assistance in the organization of moving and in apartment-seeking

• When moving, transport of furniture is financially supported by the employer. The sum is individually agreed.
